Grate, shave, scrape, spritz, crumble or shape your blocks to achieve a myriad of effects. Use flat for broad expressive lines and fuller coverage or use the corners for more precise colour placement. Mix with water and see your artwork transform. Unlike traditional watercolour, Derwent Inktense blocks have been uniquely formulated in vivid ink-like colours, offering exceptional layering capability without moving previously dried layers. Inktense can also be used on more than just paper; due to the staining power of the pigments, you can use the blocks on many porous surfaces including canvas, ceramic, wood and fabric.
